Breaking NHL news: Florida Panthers goalie Roberto Luongo moves into a tie for fourth on the all-time wins list in a 5-2 victory over the St. Louis Blues. He ties Curtis Joseph with 454 wins.

Here’s the top 10 on the wins list:

3)         Ed Belfour, 484 wins

Luongo won his first game of the season in his second start as he turned away 37 shots. Luongo lost Friday night in the Panther’s season opener.

Of Luongo’s 454 wins, 195 of them have come in his two stints with Florida. 252 of them came when he was a member of the Vancouver Canucks, and 7 in his first season as a member of the New York Islanders.

The 38-year-old Luongo was the Islanders first round selection (fourth overall) in the 1997 draft.

The Panthers are back in action Saturday night when the visit the Pittsburgh Penguins.
